Snoopy Labyrinth

Apollo belonged to a plethora of power triads in the ancient Goddess system and the later Jupiterian hierarchy. One of the most important triads was composed of: Leto [Titaness] and her twins, the lights Apollo and Artemis (the two eyes); later Zeus, Apollo and Artemis constituted the weather triad. As the primary relationship in social structure shifts from mother and child to husband and wife, the power shifts from the feminine mother figure to the masculine husband figure who is also the father. The triad of Jupiter-Juno-Minerva in Rome, as Zeus-Hera-Pallas Athena in Greece probably began to replace the Goddess power triads around the time of the Trojan War. Earth Goddess power in back of and underneath the triad, or within the centre of the labyrinth shifted to sky consciousness. In the concert film, Led Zeppelin gives homage to the traditional medieval interpretation of the knight and lady/princess who is, or could be, under siege in her splendid castle. The popular story has survived several interpretations, many of which Tolkien* enjoyed.

Gameroom activity in the prologue set plays up both positive and negative Solar and Lunar archetypes. The wolf, as an example, is linked with both Sol and Luna. The power board variation of Monopoly may be attributed to Apollo and Zeus [see Clash of The Titans for clay figure models by the Lord of Heaven.]

THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL

     "Archaeologists have taken little interest in British rock art because the motifs are entirely abstract. They lack the vivid imagery found in southern Europe or Scandinavia, where there are numerous drawings of people and animals. Perhaps abstract motifs were chosen because their meanings were never meant to be disclosed to the casual observer. The use of such a specialised vocabulary would have ensured that access to that information could be carefully controlled.

     If that is true, another implication follows. Far from representing a rather bland collection of doodles, British rock art may have had more significance than we often suppose. These carvings are contemporary with passage graves in Ireland and henges in northern Britain, so we should not be surprised to find that they were the work of a society in which sacred knowledge was important."

     Update: Recent work by Richard Bradley has shown that the kerbstone at Clava NE Cairn (see The Divining Nation homepage for picture) was, in fact, carved when the cairn was built or before, but no later.

     FYI: Dowsing has been popular in England since at least the time of King Henry VIII. Colin Wilson writes about theories developed by two British dowsers, Captain Robert Boothby and Reginald Smith of the British Museum. **

     Wherever extremes meet, such as the misty mountain top, highest rung of the ladder, and the innermost chamber of a heart - eventually all things merge into one and A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT. We can go outside our own waking conscious structure-repertoire to these spiritual, profound places ** where opposites blend - life-death, mortal-immortal, past-future, our internal and outer journeys, as ‘Stairway To Heaven’ promises. Ancient Native American medicine wheels and power sites certainly retain generations of ancestors' spirits as much as Britian's sacred place. Spirits are universal in their link with the place of pilgrimage where guests often say they feel forces rush out to greet new arrivals. Guardians welcome paranormal research, in most locations, with their unmistakable warm "hospitality" that is a preliminary preparation for an uplifting experience. Ancient Romans referred to family household guardians as Lar Familiaris. The guardian[s] of a place [Deva] was known as The Lares Loci.

     TSRTS film structure is an unusual one, with the movie pie cut in fifths, leaving a sequence each for band members and LZ manager, Peter Grant. The Plant portion of this evocative work of art crossed at the juncture where opposites meet in the mist, at land's end under a canopy of brilliant stars. Some modern day quest films to focus on this 'indefinable-vanishing point' at the pole's centre, are STAR WARS (Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker***), FIRST KNIGHT (Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table) and THE WIND AND THE LION. Plant’s fantasy transports us to Raglan Castle, and then the castle becomes a mystic vessel where the two natures unite (sol and luna, caduceus). Page and Plant’s ‘Walking Into Clarksdale’ video, ‘Most High’ is a thinly veiled take off on this theme, by the way. Comments about video airplay of ‘Most High.’

     Energy management includes the division of space into nine segments, with a colour rhythm

     The center area where the eight main sections connect is the heart of the whole, related to ether or spirit and The Transparent Wave. In the design of a Native American hogan, the household fire is set in centre of the home [probably like the sacred fire in Vesta's temple, also a perfectly round structure] - the sacred fire considered more than a physical element. Vesta's festival, the Vestalia, is held on June 7. Romans who completed their wills entrusted them to the Vestal Virgins. Right, German Stonehenge in pristine state, discovered at inception of New Age.

     The North area represents reputation, career, and wealth, frequently associated with the symbols and warm colours illustrated at the entry to Bag-End. Your doorway serves as a reference to your identity. The area near your door creates an impression about your home and place of work. True it is a superficial type of identification- like a sign above a door or on the window, and you can't tell a book by it's cover, but people go by it. A door with steps leading up to it requires empowerment items, like plants. When energy is expended climbing stairs, plants near the door help restore expended akasha that leaves through the feet. The South and East areas associated with the extreme life/death dance of Shiva/Shakti, through the four seasons refer to the powers of light and darkness.

     Ideally a spiritual symbol should be placed at each of the four cardinal parts of the home. Choose a symbol with a hidden message of transcendence for members of the household. Consciously or unconsciously, when family members approach the door to the home the symbols will facilitate higher octave thought and visual impression. Collect great outdoor furniture - it's perfect for dowsing!

     Red and white stones, representing the clear principles of both masculine and feminine primal forces, are effective tools that magnetize what is positive and vitalizing. Red and white stones were used in ancient holy places such as Clava Cairns in Invernesshire, while at Cairnholy I in Galloway and Newgrange in Co Meath, large amounts of white quartz were scattered around the front of various stone structures. White quartz may have been scattered simply to allow light to be diffracted into various chambers, in time of significant celestial events, or to energize the whole site.

     It is not unusual to find wind chimes, small trees, shrine and statuary, a font of holy water or a fountain, in or near the door and this part of the home. Ideally the approach to the doorway is a soft arc or is designed according to circular movement. See Nicholas Roerich highlights: scroll right to the painting, Procopius the Blessed.

     The East point is associated with inspiration and renewal since it first sees the dawn each day. Hang crystal beads that form rainbows on the ceiling and wall or a mobile that will cast designs such as an upward spiral. This area is best utilized as a studio, dining area, and small work space. Some people paint furniture with many colours to ensure all family members feel their needs are met in the home. The West point is dark, the unknown, good for libraries and a living room. Doors that open to the serene, calm influence of the night usher in a peaceful emotional climate. Symbols that refer to history and legends work well here, especially by candlelight.

The Shire Directory

     In the Western thought, there is a spiritual meaning in the system or process whereby Maxima, the White Wave, is seen as the source of the infra red and ultra violet colours of our rainbow. The symbol is so awe inspiring it returns us to the divine within us the moment we see it. It is important for the dowser to note that the rainbow is carried [with the possibility of materialization, a potential wave] within both solar and water lines. It is a unifying constant that acts to connect the colour symbols often used to represent solar [hot] with the water [cool] waves. Before Finnian's Rainbow or The Rainbow Coalition, there was the great binding covenant - God's bow. The messenger goddess Iris is symbolized as a rainbow when she travels between Olympus and the mortal regions. Mercury/Hermes, who carried a diamond blade, is also capable of summoning every one of the rainbow colours, some of them invisible to the naked eye. Norse mythology refers to the rainbow bridge, a materialized pathway utilized by the immortals of Asgard, particularly Odin/Woten, after the storm.

    The Bible says, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations. I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.... And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

     Homer in the Iliad wrote that Aphrodite, wounded by the warrior Diomedes, fled from the field of battle to Olympus along the rainbow route, carried swiftly as the wind by the goddess Iris. The rainbow as a mark of deity has ever since held its place in literature. In Dante's Paradiso [XII, 10-18], for example the Greek and Hebrew traditions appear together in a passage in which the poet looks on the bow as a symbol of the handmaid of Juno and as a sign of God's covenant with Noah.                -Carl B. TRUMP XXI THE NEW JERUSALEM has been interpreted by many artists and filmmakers. The atmosphere of the Akasha Black-Gold Wave permeates this picture.

In The Matrix, the faux dining room where Agent Smith and Cipher planned their treachery, was designed to convey the feeling of this painting, and still remained false. Creation of the faux paradigm to control the masses is common in our Piscean Era. Feeds of misinformation designed to confuse the study on basic psyche function/system management were introduced during the Twentieth Century. The inaccurate ideas failed to completely neutralize the early psychic revolution impact on the population in Europe. In The Matrix, the last human city is Zion, made up of serene and reborn people. ** "Boothby asserted that barrows and other prehistoric sites were crossed underground streams, and that long barrows had a stream running along their full length; Smith stated that at the centre of every prehistoric site a spot be found from which a number of streams radiated; he called these 'blind springs.' When he retired, at the end of the war, Underwood decided to devote his days exploring prehistoric sites with a dowsing rod. He quickly reached the conclusion that Boothby and Smith were both correct about underground streams and blind springs; his rod detected these without difficulty. He found that they responded 'negatively' - that is to say, the left hand seemed to take most of the 'pull.' In FIRST KNIGHT, sizzly Sean Connery (Sun and Neptune conjunct Regulus) in the role of King Arthur ~ no slouch Connery ~ the only actor to portray King Arthur, Richard The Lionheart and Robin Hood. Queen Elizabeth II knighted Sir Sean Connery [last day of the Twentieth Century] as interfering clouds ultimately cleared his solar stellium. Connery’s role as the Eastern Lion, in THE WIND AND THE LION runs counter to Brian Keith’s Teddy Roosevelt. The symbolic Leo (Lion) is balanced by Aquarius (Wind) - they are frequently compared to hindsight and foresight. Candace Bergen plays the part of Eden, kidnapped in Morocco and held for ransom by Connery’s character. Bergen represents Venus as capable and attractive, with negotiating skill. Venus is often enlisted for binary solutions that are required because of Leo/Aquarius fixed and temperamental natures.
