The Green Wave

or Burr, known as Glastonbury Tor
Equinox week in September, the seven ancient circuits around the hill lead up to the ancient cauldron at the top. The sacred site may have influenced the design of J. R. R. Tolkien's Lothlorien [home of Galadriel and Celeborn at the top of the spiral], Helm's Deep, Meduseld, and the City of Minas Tirith, with the White Tower of Ecthelion on the top level of the city [with the White Tree, fountain, Citadel, and King's House.]

Color Green Outlined In Chatroom Conversations

Green is in the middle of the external spectrum, equidistant between the mineral world and the world of (people) mortals. Therefore The Green Wave is frequently sought as a means to establish a link and connection between the mineral world and the kingdom of the adept. This is obvious while we occupy the dream plane but may not always be as straightforward while seeing from the perspective of the waking consciousness. Carl Jung has made stunning observations about The Green Wave as the missing fourth primary color and its constancy within the dreamscape. So you could say that GREEN is a color that is often underestimated or misunderstood, at least within the waking conscious time frame.

HM The Queen Mother, has long been known as The Royal Gardner. The Queen Mum was surrounded by beautiful gardens as a child. The famous gardens around Glamis Castle in Scotland and St Paul’s Walden Bury in Hertfordshire are known for their lovely spirit. The Queen Mum has contributed many gardens and landscapes with historic significance. Perhaps her most challenging due to weather is The Castle of Mey, looking straight out over the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands. The Queen Mother's small but immaculate kitchen garden, protected by high stone walls to keep out the constant winds, is a sheer delight and a reminder that however daunting the conditions it is possible to make a garden.

St. Francis of Assisi

Lord make me an instrument of Your peace;
where there is hatred let me sow love,
where there is injury let me sow pardon,
where there is doubt let me sow faith,
where there is despair let me give hope,
where there is darkness let me give light,
where there is sadness let me give joy.

O divine master, grant that I may
not try to be comforted but to comfort,
not try to be understood but to understand,
not try to be loved but to love.

Because it is in giving that we are received,
it is in forgiving that we are forgiven,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring -  a caravan of Elves leads the Fellowship along a ridge, through the golden woods... The group comes to the end of the high ridge and looks out. A great glade of trees rises above them.  Elf 'guide' Haldir tells them the gold haven before them is, "Caras Galadhon… the heart of Elvendom on earth. Realm of the Lord Celeborn and of Galadriel, Lady of Light."

So when you need to take in the earth nourishment (that comes from Mother Nature, in essence) you eat the green foods, or select your menu from the plant kingdom in part) because those foods contain the energy from the mineral kingdom + additional factors within themselves. You might want to incorporate a more "mellow temperament" after a stressful situation by drinking some mint or jasmine tea. Although both types of tea are regarded as stimulants, in that they add some "pluck" and "push" to your physical status, they also smooth out sharp, angular thought patterns in the way of a country landscape.

"Giving individuals the power to determine and manage their

own health and destinies is the secret of true healing.

Their minds and bodies are powerful instruments, the

ultimate healing machines." ~Effie Poy Yew Chow
The East West Academy of Healing Arts

Aloe Vera is often instantly applied to burns and cuts as the obvious natural and quick remedy; the soft green gel acts as antidote to the negative element as well as a healing agent. Sprouts, lettuce (all leafy green veggies) contain the Green Energy that is frequently allocated to Venus, The Social Urge. So in a vibrant green salad we acquire the various "social supplements" that boost our "appeal" like Vitamin E and Copper. In mysticism, the allocation of color to Tiphereth (when the human heart is the foundation of the work) is either green or gold, depending on the current popular arrangements. Using this blueprint, Tiphereth (Beauty) is the centre hub for all intelligences in the material world - it may be clarified through oscillations of letters spoken from various planes/levels of awareness.

left, Aragorn wears the Ring of Barahir throughout The Lord of the Rings trilogy.  Lists for increasing Green Wave potency in your life should include lots of green goods in your kitchen, also green lighting in home/garden, middle green and "nature design" sheets are also excellent for balance while you progress/restore and heal your physical temple at night as you relax. Also, plush green towels to wrap around you following bath, special herbal compound packets for restoration of skin and "tone", undergarments (especially silk), and healthy flourishing green plants everywhere to support the idea/energy that you are surrounded by growing and prospering life forces. You may emphasize the Green Wave by wearing green stones such as emerald (healing eyes), jade (balancing stone, mystical symbol of the dragon), fluorite and amazonite, to mention only a few. Visit The Stone gallery and Mystic White Wave for stones and zodiac sign and colours. Some accessories that are helpful: green candles, green pen, green ink, and try a green light for audio memory work near your bed. Ideal 'green audio enhancement' music comes from Clannad, Enya, and classical composers such as Debussy.

EXPERIMENT:  ADVANCEMENT VIA GREEN WAVE FREQUENCY

Green lights allow you to play tapes and memorize the content while falling asleep at night; your year works best under influences that are given to your "listening center" facilitated by Green frequencies. You may also want to use a green pillow slip for maximizing your memory with audio tracking the tapes you use for information storage. To experiment with your ability to absorb sound vibrations and therefore new knowledge through audio channels, try this out.

EXPERIMENT: Tape something you feel curious about off a show on TV, that is the content holds new knowledge and topics of information for you. As you fall asleep (try to maximize green around you by sleeping in green bedding and under lamp with a green light) place your tape machine near your ear. Play your tape from the beginning all the way through while you fall asleep. The Green Wave also produces dream themes that coincide with the subject matter of your taped shows, so begin with subject matter designed to induce harmony, joy, and positive results in your waking daily life during your early experiments with this technique.

Green Wave kingdom is serves as amplifier CHANNEL for your physical temple needs in precisely the same way it links up various forces within Nature’s own network. When you keep your focus on the color of healing, mediation, bonding, people often feel "closer" to each other after speaking with you and listening to your ideas. The middle part of the prism suggests the "family" unity within evolving humanity, so people are thought of as your "brothers and sisters" and very likely to be kept within your social reach as such. You have two poles with green in the middle. On one side you have the flame red, on the other side the indigo. Green is the point exactly between both - it is neither HOT + very fast motion like RED, nor is it COOL, that is slow and retreating INDIGO. It is neutral. Or better stated, Green is the + and the - that psychologically contains both advancing and retreating potential, so it is related to both extremes.

So when your system is committed to healing work, channeling exercise and counseling services, what type of energy will you seek out as your FIRST and most easily renewable energy? You will choose the Green Wave first, and use it most when ratios are being established.

But what are the implications when you OVER-do all these routines? The Green Wave frequency stored within you may be raided when you go with "people themes" and your energy reserves feel robbed or drained to dangerous lows. Seek out Mother Nature at that junction, go to your garden and work with your Deva there (ideally within grove of trees or with running water), take a walk in your "inner garden" or go to a park. Contemplate an unstructured visit to an Arboretum, camp out for a day to two, golf, reminisce with pix from last vacation, trek a while with The Sierra Club, and so forth. You can create art forms like mosaics, decoupage, jewelry, paintings, chalk drawing, collage work using various natural settings or travel club poster art ~~ all highlighting The Green Wave as it ideally impacts your inner soul power . Be creative about where to go for revitalizing GREEN WAVE energy when it gets too low for you, and keep some options at the "fingertips" of your waking conscious mind’s resource storehouse so you have it handy if you ever need some re-charted GREEN right away.

Left, The Emperor in Mark Ryan's Greenwood Tarot

The Spiritual diet and nourishment comes through the Brow, or  "second mouth" unlocked by a very different type of reference key. These foods tend to be purple or lavender, and sometimes the universal color known as Transparent Veridian Green, a green/blue color you can find throughout nature during every season if you look closely (trees often have leaves and needles this color). So foods that are Green vibrate and give you "GREEN WAVE POTENTIAL FOR ACTION" - the ability to mediate, establish rapport between opposing factions, to negotiate/bargain, construct a working harmony for the highest good, and so forth.

Amplification of The Green Wave in your life enriches social programs and improves confidence in communication skills (especially the ability to be a good listener). Green represents the power of Nature herself when fully functional and unhindered by mortal interference. In old world symbols, The Green Man and Proserpina are often shown embracing or personifying those nature rhythms suggestive of the Green Wave. Regarding the sound-tone of the colour, most sounds found in Nature generally reside somewhere between the yellow-green to green-blue waves. The 'juice harp' [dubbed either a juice harp or a jew's harp] is actually probably a jaw harp. My Bluegrass List thread cites early versions actually made with a jaw bone "and the sound is transmitted through your jaw bone when you play. Not sure but the animal jaw bone probably gave it its name. By strumming the harp while changing the shape of the mouth you can play tunes. I once saw an old Robin Hood movie where one of the merry men played one. Another related instrument is Mouth. Believe it or not I saw this at a bluegrass concert many years ago. The group comedian (usually the bass player) went up to the microphone and started slapping his cheeks in alternate left right slaps while he changed the shape of his mouth. Out came Arkansas Traveler." The connection between the juice harp and Pan pipes [green-blue to teal wave] or flute [blue wave] requires little imagination and all harmonize together beautifully.

In Tarot symbolism we often observe the wand reference as conveyed through whole collections of inspired literature we have the idea of Aaron’s Rod, the Staff of Moses, the Walking Stick, various power tools of David and Solomon (Old Testament), etc. Naturally the power of these "tools" does not rest within the item itself, just as dowsing rods contain no power in themselves. Additional symbols like vines of growing ivy (Dionysus), verdant vales of Ceres, and the antlers of the Celtic God of The Forest relate the vision of blessings flowing from the spirit of growth. See Gandalf and Saruman for more about the subject online.

The essence of magical concentration is merely symbolized in the superficial appearance of the tree that blossoms anew each Spring. The idea of The Magic Wand held by The Magus (Magician) in Tarot Trump is the same as the power suggested in the story of The Evergreen - and these "tree power" stories precede our current era by some thousand or more years, easily. Just as The Magus holds the self-renewing wand above his head to show that spirit comes from "above", or from the centers of power within the skull, we witness the individual power of the seven churches (The 7 Chakras or 7 Colors of the Prism) The High Priestess Trump II holds out from natural law. Symbolism within the first couple of Tarot Trump images is so condensed, many scholars feel the summary of the Masculine (Yang) and Feminine (Yin) Principles in these two forces of nature alone to be sufficient for many years of investigation in the making of our physical universe. Trump II The Priestess may also be recognized as, JUNO and THE VEILED ISIS, as well as the French, 'La Papesse', and the traditional title, THE HIGH PRIESTESS. "Each body, each activity, each soul entity vibrates better to this,

That or the other color. As with this, certain colors of green and blue

Are those to which the body vibrates the better...

Colors are naturally the spiritualization of tone or sound."

~Edgar Cayce

GLASTONBURY WHITE SPRINGS

For millennia people have been drawn to it on a search
for the mythical Isle of Avalon. A key part to it’s
mystery is water. It was once an island and water rises
and falls from it’s heart in profusion. Full of mystery
and symbolism, two springs rise within feet of each other
at the base of the Tor - the holy hill of Avalon.

Victorian built as a reservoir to provide
the greatest gift of clean water during a
cholera outbreak, it nestles under the base
of the Tor. The White Spring water flows
through it, as does the Ley Line known
as the Michael line. Cavernous and set apart,
in blackness or candle lit, mysterious it
remains.

A stark contrast to the wonderful gardens of
Chalice Well of the Red Spring.
One, tasting sweet with calcium, leaves a white trail.
The other, tasting metallic with iron, leaves its mark
in red. Both have healing in their flow.

According to a theory put forward by Geoffrey Russell,
they are the principal remains of a maze: not in the
sense of a puzzle, but in the sense of a long, twisting,
devious approach to a centre. Made in the remote past
for ritual purposes, it spirals round the Tor seven times,
and ends - or may be supposed to end - at the summit
where the tower now stands.

Chronicled Room Notes About the Green Man, Traveling the UK Circuit, and Various Sites to Visit on Your Spiritual Trip - Autumn of 1998

May the force be with you!

Kova: You two sent me such curious notes and humor while I was gone. A couple had me ROFLOL, and I'm going to save them on disk for a future moment when I can go back over them all and properly chuckle myself to tears. Have a few laughs to share about travels - you may laugh so hard you could require medical attention! Many thank yous! Here are couple thoughts for you to ruminate over.

Jackie: We were with you in spirit also.

Joyous: Yes, getting actually on these sites alters everything -- it is quite fascinating, and something that really deserves more serious study, IMHO... Did you get to Stonehenge, and did you actually get into the middle? And I presume you didn't see the Loch Ness monster? hehehe...

Kova: Strangely enough my favorite site was one I'll fondly refer to as a "Castle in Scotland" although it is more aptly titled "The Abramelin Laboratory". Its the old haunt of Jimmy Page who collects mystic lore and various memorabilia. His former house was said to be haunted and since I'm doing the charts for Page and Plant as well as Jerry Garcia (also with a home supposedly haunted) I set out to find the common thread. I wasn't disappointed. We had hoped Nessie would join us for tea but she was out to lunch when we arrived at the Abramelin Laboratory. Got some great footage on video along with stills as well. Will tell you some more about Nessie privately as well, she does exist in the physical dimensions, however, she is not the "elemental" many of the locals believe her to be... she is intelligent and has a specific link to that land near by her own power site. Its a story to tell on a New Moon evening around a camp fire. Got your camping gear ready to hear up North way to Shasta?

Joyous: Now THAT I want to hear!!! About Nessie, I mean... but we shall have to relocate... my body no longer goes camping, unless one of you has a comfortable motorhome hidden away somewhere?? hehe..

Kova: Saw film with Robert Taylor and Ava Gardner wherein "The Great Stone Circle" is featured as a meeting place for the film KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE. Also caught the recent film, MERLIN with Sam Neill and Isabelle Rossallini - having wonderful time researching subjects about mysticism and European magic - lore resources seem to be boundless there. Green is a power colour for me, especially transparent viridian green, so my health will improve when I'm in nature and working near green territory. How about both you Buddettes - what have you been delving into this past week?

Joyous: . Kova, how was the Merlin film? Somehow, the Merlin idea has always seemed to be an important part of me -- can hardly resist reading anything about "him" -

Kova: Sam Neill and Isabella Rossallini are two fave performers and I'll have to say I adored the presentation although the classic movie list people had mixed critiques about it. With MERLIN you have so many faces, that its difficult to settle on any one projection of him everybody can feel totally at home with, but Neill did great job. Merlin is usually seen with three (or more) faces and Neill carries that style off well. What was India book about? Saw Eastern statuary to die for in British Museum. What did you think about the Tor photograph - doesn't really do it, does it... you had to be there 8-) Guess the Tor experiences were much more potent and powerful because the intersection of all those energies seems to exist at summit.

Jackie: Oh Kova, the Tor pix was wonderful... just wonderful. Makes you want to be there and see in person. Thank you so much. The Tor just looked so imposing sitting up there all alone like that... awesome.            rt.,
Orchids and White Leopards, Frederick Stuart Church  1917

Joyous: I loved the Tor photo -- I wrote you about it -- no, I am sure it's not like being there -- but it seems to vibrate right off the paper at me.... Yes, the energies must be marvelous at the Tor, when you look at a map of the ley lines in England, they are like WOW -- always seem to pull at me, and say "Get thee there, Joyous!"... To me, Merlin symbolizes the masculine aspect of the original Nature God/Goddess -- not sure how the "magic" fits in with that, but he certainly comes across as magical.... Believe he was a development out of the Green Man... so my intuition says... [there were a couple of sites not out of commission - will replace them ASAP - sorry!] -- hope I got those right...

Jackie: In all your travels Joyous, you've never been there?

Kova: Do any site-seeing near Iona, where The Book of Kells is said to originate - at least in its present illuminated format?

Joyous: Not to the Tor, Jackie -- when I was in England I didn't have wheels, and didn't get to the sites I wanted to see -- it was, instead, a relaxing visit with my friend in Cornwall -- not too shabby, her huge hillside home looks out over a yacht harbor, backed by green hills, backed by the ocean -- was quite wondrous just to sit and view.... The only site I got to was Stonehenge, briefly, on the trip from London to St. Mawes. Did some day trips around St. Mawes/Falmouth area, and lots of walking/hiking... As to Green Man, haven't found a central index yet, but haven't

Kova: The Green Man BTW, has been referenced in Shakespeare, Milton, and others more recent than those learned authors. Can we find a kind of "central index" about him? Jackie, can we research The Green Man as the antlered God Cernunnos, who represents resurrection? We have focused more as his role in relation to The Great Goddess to this time... what do you have on that idea for the week ahead?

Jackie: Sounds interesting. Okay, I'll put it on my list of to dos.

  • Aulnay foliate head images were central to the ancient Celtic cultures of pre-Christian Europe, and symbolized fertility, prophecy, inspiration and regeneration. By 400 BCE such heads were being carved in stone, showing leaf foliage sprouting from the mouth. This art form spread into the Romanesque and Gothic chapels and cathedrals, and is viewed by scholars as the resurfacing of druidic tree worship and Dionysiac mystery themes originally suppressed by the church.
