No, Try not. Do, or do not.
There is no try.   -Yoda

Star Wars was first time, really, that I had a concept that filmmakers, i.e., George Lucas, were shy retiring types of people, the types of kids that didn't have girlfriends and wern't picked for the sports team...   I was living thousands of miles away, but I could recognize so much of myself in what  I was reading about this guy who made Star Wars, George Lucas. You know the media were full of how shy and quiet he was and yet it gave all of us - who felt we were very similar - it gave us a lot of hope that we could persevere and achieve the sort of things that he achieved.

"With 'Star Wars' I consciously set about to
re-create myths and the classic mythological motifs.  I wanted to use those motifs to deal with issues that exist today," Lucas says.

Brilliant casting by Lucas brought living, breathing Skywalker twins, Luke and Leia to life on the big screen:

On the topic of movie making:   "...doing it sequentially forces you into making certain kinds of decisions in a certain way. Instead of making film into a sequential assembly-line process where one person does one thing, takes it, and turns it over to the next person, I'm turning it more into the process of a painter or sculptor. You work on it for a bit, then you stand back and look at it and add some more onto it, then stand back and look at it and add some more. You basically end up layering the whole thing. Filmmaking by layering means you write, and direct, and edit all at once. It's much more like what you do when you write a story. "

"...He's long since cut back on the pub-crawling,
has reached a truce (at least in theory)
with Britain's notorious paparazzi,
and has basically left the parties and premieres behind.
He's even looking forward to retiring his light-saber--and
the veil of secrecy that comes with it.
"I'm glad there's only one more Star Wars left to do, he admits.
After playing gritty, soul-bearing roles his whole career,
until George Lucas' cash cow wandered along,
McGregor seems ready to slip back into his old,
low-profile life."  DETAILS, May 03
